Join Nicholas Veronico, naval historian and author of Hidden Warships, as he details the history, recovery, and preservation of these sunken combat ships – including accounts from the divers and restorers who have worked with them. Beginning with Japanese midget submarines that attacked Pearl Harbor and continuing through into the modern era, Veronico will recount the unique tales of a number of these noteworthy vessels.
Scholarly Saturdays are free with paid FHCAM Museum Admission.

Climb on a Cold War combatant as we provide guests with a look on, around, under and inside our M60 Main Battle Tank. Guests will experience a level of access to our tank they’ve never had before with insights from our FHCAM Vehicle Maintenance staff. The Washington Pilots Association, Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum (FHCAM), Historic Flight Foundation (HFF), and Paine Field will host the 23rd annual Paine Field Aviation Day on Saturday, May 19th. Join us to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force.
Your admission ticket gains you access into both museums (FHCAM & HFF), plus prime viewing for the flying demonstrations where you will see FHCAM's Spitfire & Thunderbolt take to the skies alongside HFF's massive B25.

As we rush headlong towards Tankfest Northwest, join FHCAM as we host one of the most preeminent researchers and historians on armored warfare – Steve Zaloga. Steve has authored or co-authored over 100+ books and if you have a tank history book in your library from the last 20 years there is a good chance that he wrote it.
We are proud to have Steve for two evenings – Wednesday May 23rd and Thursday May 24th. On May 23rd he will be discussing “The Sherman Tank: Death Trap or War Winner?” - based on his book “Armored Thunderbolt: The U.S. Army Sherman in World War II.” The next evening Steve will give us his perspective on “What was the best tank of World War II?” – based on his book “Armored Champion: The Top Tanks of World War II.” Both books will be available to purchase onsite at the FHCAM gift shop. Steve will be available to answer questions at the end of his presentations as well as sign copies of his books.

This action packed day boasts of fun for the entire family including military vehicle demonstrations, remote control tanks, scavenger hunt, face painting, bouncy house, tug-o-war, educational speaker, amazing food from some of the region’s top food trucks, and much more.
See amazing tanks, vehicles and artillery take to the arena in a fantastic display you can’t see anywhere else.

SUMMER CAMP
If your child wants an alternative to the standard summer camp, FHCAM provides campers with an opportunity to get up close and personal with our tanks and other military armored vehicle collection—hear from the mechanics that keep our beasts running, learn and implement tank tactics using World of Tanks gameplay, build and take home your very own tank or plane model, and feel the boom of a special Beasts of the Battlefield tank demonstration. FHCAM summer camps are geared towards youth ages 11-14 and are held Monday through Thursday 9AM to 3 PM. This year FHCAM offers two fun summer camp options, Beasts of the Battlefield and Model Mania. Hurry!!!! Camps are filling up fast.

Pacific Theater Day

Join us for a fun and exciting day of flying and vehicle demonstrations from the machines that operated in WWII's Pacific Theater. Bring the entire family for a history lesson come to life!
Vehicles operating include the Sherman Tank, M5 Tractor, Ford Jeep, & the American Half-Track. Aircraft operating include the Corsair, P-40, Hellcat, Zero, B-25, and Historic Flight Foundation's TBM and Bearcat.
