ABOUT US

OUR STORY

Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum (FHCAM) is a 501 (c)(3) committed to educating visitors about the rare, historic aircraft, vehicles, and artifacts in our collection, which are a testament to the era’s engineering skill and humanity’s spirit during the world conflicts of the 20th century.

We are committed to proving complete authenticity in all of our artifacts. This includes all aspects of the mechanical systems and all paint schemes and markings. FHCAM strives to make the operations and appearance as original as possible to the time when the aircraft, tank, or other machine was first utilized.

OUR TEAM

FHCAM staff and volunteers are passionate stewards of the collection in our care and the human stories that unfold through the experience of exploring these artifacts. We are committed to sharing this era's rich and complex history, passion for craftsmanship, ingenuity, sacrifice, and resilience with the public.

ABOUT RESTORATION

& MAINTENANCE

Restoration is the process of returning something to its former or original condition. It’s often more of an art than a process.

Maintenance is the process of preserving something. In our case, maintenance is accomplished through a disciplined practice of craftsmanship mixed with a touch of magic.

At FHCAM, you can observe these practices on a regular basis, as our mechanics keep our collection in top, operational condition right out on the museum floor.
