Examine the historical basis, design activities, and key technical decisions leading to the construction of the Spitfire prototype, including the key members of the design team. Learn about the evolution of the Spitfire into a viable fighting machine and compare the definitive Spitfire of the Battle of Britain period with its aircraft peers.
