Join us on Saturday, March 21 for a 30-minute talk with FHCAM docent Ron Risdon who will provide insight into the Second World War in New Guinea.  Ron’s talk will investigate how the Battle of the Bismarck Sea and tactics employed by General George Kenney, US Army Air Force commander for the Southeast Pacific, altered Japanese strategies employed throughout the rest of the war.  Ron will also explore attempts by the Japanese to regain the initiative in the South Pacific under Admiral Yamamoto and how the Allied bombing of Wewak influenced the war.
