Veterans Day Event (11.11.08)

The Flying Heritage Collection held a special Veterans Day event Nov. 11. Lt. Gov Brad Owen was on hand to welcome more than 300 people to FHC. The big draw, though, was a panel of World War II fliers from the United States and one from Poland who spoke to the crowd of the role they and their aircraft played in the Allies' victory. Afterwards, the panelists talked with the FHC visitors and posed near some beautifully restored versions of the planes they flew in the war.

On Tuesday, November 11, 2008, Veterans Day, the Flying Heritage Collection hosted a special event to honor and recognize veterans for their service.

Adrian Hunt, the Executive Director of the Flying Heritage Collection, welcomed the audience and our veteran speakers.

Washington State Lieutenant Governor Brad Owen honored the veterans (seated left to right: Ralph Jenkins, Bob Drew, Alex Herbst) with a special letter from the Governor Christine Gregoire.
